About InterPlay

What is it?

The Practice of InterPlay

InterPlay explores the wisdom of the body through simple body movement techniques that help reconnect a sense of personal wholeness. Play, movement, expression and collaboration are key concepts explored through InterPlay techniques. InterPlay was first developed in San Francisco by performers and teachers Phil Porter and Cynthia Winton-Henry. Phil and Cynthia are involved in regular programs in Australia.

Wisdom of the Body

InterPlay processes will develop your abilities:

  • to express yourself

  • to collaborate with others

  • to expand your personal awareness

  • to find your creative power

  • to recognise your leadership potential

InterPlay is a helpful means of reconnecting your body and spirit, exploring the wisdom of the body, developing a deeper knowledge of yourself and your particular talents. It offers learning in team dynamics, leadership and personal development, as well as performance skills in movement, voice and storytelling.

The Relevance of InterPlay

Anyone can do InterPlay as it is about moving at your own pace, exploring a sense of embodiment, spontaneity and creativity, in a supportive and affirming community process. No particular background or ability is required, just a willingness to play.

InterPlay is an integrated form of personal development; a creative spur for artists and performers; a grounding in wholeness for health professionals; a dynamic learning tool for business consultants; a form of community theatre; a means of developing your leadership style; a powerful form of life discernment; a mentioning process for clearly establishing your life goals.
